The Professional Standards Section is part of the Office of the Chief of Police, under the direction of the Chief’s Adjutant. This Section is staffed by one Sergeant.
The Professional Standards Section reviews and maintains the Department’s General Orders Manual, Traffic Accident Log and Use of Force Reports. The Professional Standards Section Sergeant also assists the Internal Affairs Division in responding to civil subpoena requests for documentation and court appearances, assists other City departments with requests for information and documentation for the processing of Claims for Damages and attends City Council meetings as the Sergeant at Arms.
